  • Unable to delete items

    • I am fairly new to Joomla and am trying desperately to figure out the best way to organize the content structure. I have created a couple of catagories and I also copied a section that I cannot delete.

      I have went back through from the bottom level up, content items -> catagory -> Section. Deleteing the content items first, but CANNOT delete the catagory or the section. I get no error message, but when I select the catagory to delete and hit Delete or Trash, the page simply refreshes and the item remains. It's like it is just stuck. I have no alternative other than to rename it to junk and unpublish it.

      Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

    • Hi,
      After you deleted the content items did you empty the trash bin? If not you need to empty it before you can delete the categories & sections.

    • That was it! Once I emptied trash I was able to delete. Thank you very much for providing a resolution.
