Simple, we can use 1.2 on our own site because we have full control of the code and we won't have any conflicting plug-ins that uses 1.1

- As Joomla has 1.11 and doesn't have a control mechanism to change that. We can change this ourselves due to the custom nature of our site.

- How compatible are the templates and extensions with mootools 1.2 right now - I want to link up Magento which uses prototype so I need to be able to set mootools to a no conflict mode which I understand is possible with the latest version of Mootools

- We have 1.2 versions of most of scripts already, in anticipation for the inevitable move to 1.2 by Joomla. The templates and extensions use 1.11 at this time however.
