no module display when article is clicked on

Posted 15 years 4 months ago
    • Hello, please help! I am having difficulties with the following:
I am building a site about gadgets. With sections like best camcorders etc. I am using a global news module for this, displaying the latest news. So far all good. If I click on for example 'reviews camcorders', the template displays the right module. On the insert2-position there is a module about 'most read'. All good. But if I select an article shown on the review-page the 'most read'-module disappears. It only stays there if I select in the backend all review-menu's and I don't want that. I only want the 'most read' displayed on the 'review camcorders' and all articles that belong in there. What am I doing wrong? Who can help me?

      Thanks, Jurgen

    • I also get a warning. This is the one:
Warning: Attempt to assign property of non-object in /usr/local/www/htdocs/stuffmag/plugins/content/mgmediabot.php on line 32

      Thanks, Jurgen

    • It seems the problem comes from that mgmediabot plugin. Could you please try to disable that plugin temporary?

    • I did that, the 'warning' is gone. But the first problem is not solved. I still can not dislplay in the right modules what I want. I don't know what to do anymore. Jurgen

    • It's the default behavior of Joomla how to display the module. It detects the Itemid. You can create a menu item with section or category blog type for the articles and then make sure you publish the most read module on that menu item.
Or another way, you can publish the most read module for all menu items in the module parameter

    • Hi,

Sorry, but it still does not work. Everytime I click on an article, there is nothing showing on the insert2-position. Do you have any more ideas?

      Thanks,

      Jurgen
