Why are other templates included inRocket Launcher

  • Why are other templates included inRocket Launcher

    • I just use Rocket Launcher to install a affinity website. Works great. Thank you for rocket launcher.
My question is why is beez, jJA_Purity and rhuk_milkyway included? Can they be deleted? And if so would I just delete their folders in the template folder?

      Thanks

    • The other templates (beez, rhuk_milkyway, and ja_purity) are the default templates come by default. You can delete them in the backend : Extensions >> Install/Uninstall >> Template
Then choose the templates you want to uninstall there

    • Retired, but build and run websites for organisations of school leaders and others - e.g. http://www.icponline.org, http://www.aspa.asn.au, http://www.appa.asn.au

    • The only reason that I keep them in my installs is to be able to check any non-working third-party components or modules with a default template to see if the template or the addon is at fault. Developers can not check their addon with templates from every source.

    • :arrowu: Yes, that's a good point, John.

Although you can delete the default templates, keeping them speeds up the trouble shooting process when it comes to template specific issues.

    • Our RocketLaunchers are a standard Joomla install with all the files and folders that you would expect, then with our extra bits.

Notwithstanding the installation directory, we do not remove anything from the standard package. Although John's point is a a very good one, offering a practical reason for this.
