Are RocketTheme templates optimized for performance?

  • Are RocketTheme templates optimized for performance?

    • Just wondering...

Are all RocketTheme templates optimized for performance (YSlow, Smush.it) before being made available?

      Thanks.

    • Also note your site's performance will be determined by your hosting environment and your (or your users) connection speed (and browser choice).

    • Our templates are optimised to the best of our abilities without sacrificing on usability. There are always more things you can do to save a few seconds here and there but we do take note of performance when developing our templates.

    • Been trying my best in optimizing templates as i am in southeast asia where internet is generally quite slow. Even tho i am spending $50 on VPS, re sized all images, compressed all CSS and JS, visitors are still complaining about the speed of my sites in comparison to other sites.

Also I ve done my best to chose light components and avoid anything that adds to many queries and requests..

Is there any recommended tutorials on how to add anymore speed to joomla sites? I ve looked at a few however would be good to get your tusted recommendation..

What would be great to lean which i have no idea how to is bringing all CSS and JS into one..

    • Retired, but build and run websites for organisations of school leaders and others - e.g. http://www.icponline.org, http://www.aspa.asn.au, http://www.appa.asn.au

    • You could try Afterburner, RT's fastest template...

    • How about a Gantry layout that reworks the afterburner? I think that would be good.

    • I also think there's a posibility to specifically optimise your server for joomla (since you got a vps)
Also, try a cluster hosting solution. OR at least ask if it will benefit u on www.webhostingtalk.com/
