  • mynxx change module showing virtuemart cart

    • I went through the forum and found 2 other posts similar to mine but didn't help to solve my problem.

      my site 1gramgoldbar.com shows the virtuemart shopping cart in the main text area e.g. under the scroller on the home page when you choose an item. in the original mynxx template when you clicked on a product the shopping cart shows on a separate page without the scroller or other modules confusing the user. it is important that the selected item shows on its own page without the need to scroll down to see it.

      normally you can just choose a module to show in certain places, but it looks like it is different with the virtuemart shopping cart. Me and 2 other guys tried to find where we can determine showing the shopping cart, but couldn't find anything.

      Any help would be very appreciated.

      Here is what i did in my case to make sure the home page image and the scroll bar disappear when a Product Category is clicked:
      I just had to create a new module under module manager by clicking on New and selecting RokVirtueMart Product Categories for module, clicked next, gave it a name. Clicked on save and now when i click on a category it goes to the correct location without the home page image and scroller.

      But after doing so now the format of the scroll bar is not using the correct css format for text and add to cart button. Still working on that.

      I was able to fix the format on the front page by adding the following in my template.css file located at Joomla Root/templates/rt_mynxx_j15/css/template.css
      .product-name {font-weight: bold;font-size: 110%;display: block;margin-bottom: 10px;}
.productPrice {font-weight:bold;white-space: nowrap;font-siaze: 90%;display: block;margin: 10px 0;}

      I actually found the fix in the following topic:
