    • Hello everyone!

      I'm having some difficulties with the newest JomSocial 1.6 update. Basically the site in question, swimwire.com , is having some Javascript conflicts since the latest update. The Rockettheme template Colormatic has a little blue bar at the top of the screen, which you can see, but this normally has text on saying "Open Control Panel" or 'Click me', and it has a neato little Javascript clickable whatnot that drops down a control panel. Also, there's a RokSlideshow installed near the header that displays information about the site in the blue area, but this is not appearing either.

      Firebug gives me this error:
      $ is not a function
      eval(function(p,a,c,k,e,r){e=function(...|window|closeString'.split('|'),0,{}))

      This has only started happening since the latest update. What can I do? Thanks, I really appreciate the help!

    • Does anyone have any ideas? Rockettheme provide brilliant templates and I'd love to think it wasn't their 'fault' that this was happening. Any chance of a fix if so?

    • It's probably a JS conflict between jquery and mootools. Maybe qtip or roktools could be disabled to find out the cause? :)

      Also, you need to clean up your MS Word code in your article.

    • Try updating it to Jomsocial 1.6.285? I think it was out today. Maybe u missed it?

    • OK, I've updated and tried a patch fix provided by JomSocial but neither work. I'm still having the same errors except I haven't the foggiest where/how to fix this.

      Thanks everyone, I really appreciate your help... :cry: Any further ideas?

    • OK, it's all sorted now, thank you all for your help. The problem was in fact to do with a different Javascript script, running for jBolo chatbar, that caused a conflict with the Rockettheme scripts as opposed to the other way around or something. All sorted, thanks!
