  • how to make all the pages the same template layout.

Posted 15 years 3 months ago
    • I am trying to build my site and I have got the front page not to far of how I want it to look like, with all my links etc. BUT when I click on a link and visit another page (such as location) it looks nothing like the front page...
how do I make all the pages appear the same/similar?

      here is my website

      www.glowgolf.com.au/joomla/

now click any link and you will see what I mean.

      thanks for any advice.

      Mik

    • Basic Core SEF:

If joomla is in the root; htdocs, or public_html...

In Global Configurations, Search Engine Friendly URLs Yes, Use Apache mod_rewrite Yes, Add suffix to URLs No.

      Change htaccess.txt to .htaccess.

If it’s in a folder, you need to change the # RewriteBase / to reflect the path of your site.

      Change:

      # RewriteBase /

      to:

RewriteBase /(the name of the folder joomla is in)

If that doesn't work, search or post here:

      forum.joomla.org/viewforum.php?f=544

If you are using a 3rd part component, contact the developer.
    • Thanks,

    • mik_blyth, no offence, but that is one of the most "hard on the eye" sites ive ever seen, its impossible to read any of the info...can't imagine people would hang around long to find out about the business...I see what your trying to do with the whole glow thing, and I think it could actually look quite nice if you took the "logo background" out from behind the semi-transparent modules....would make everything alot cleaner, slicker and easier to read. Just my 2 pence! I'd hope ppl would make the same criticisms of me if I ever made something so medically unsafe :D
