Right Sidebar=NoScrolling and Forums? [New Customer!]

    • I noticed on a number of pages the right sidebar does NOT scroll or move when I move the content down. I really like that.

Secondly, what forums are you people using here? I need some forums for my site also and have tried quite a gamut of them from free to paid and haven't seen anything quite as nice as what is going on here.

    • I should clarify, I am speaking about the Rockettheme Site.

On the www.rockettheme.com/extensions page, the menu on the right titled EXTENSIONS scrolls down to where the footer begins.

And here in the forums, just wondering if this is just a custom phpBB running the rokBridge system.

    • Hello,

The no-scrolling on the RT site is a custom mootools script.

We are using phpBB3 forum software and yes, it works pretty well. :)

While RT is using a custom script. It's quite easy to add that to your own site. I've added something similar to my forum, where the right column will start scrolling down, and then stop when at a certain point. -> www.ixtreme.net

It's not perfect, but it gets the job done.

Personally, I prefer Jquery to do so, but I didn't feel like adding another js library to my site, so I just dug around the mootools.net documentation. Fairly easy to accomplish.

If you want my css and js files for this, let me know.
