    • What is the best way to do this?

      I have a current site using affinity template. I want to use crystalline for a new site to replace the old but I want to use rocketlauncher to get a head start on the site.

      Any shortcuts would be helpful, trying not to delete everything and start over.

    • okay - if you use rocketlauncher you are installing the database that comes with that which means it will be a little more difficult when transferring over your existing database

      my advice would be to take it in stages and not start with rocketlauncher

      1st - install joomla at a new location e.g. /new-site
      2nd - take a copy of your database and then call it something else - then have /new-site point to that (so if you make any changes, it doesn´t effect your live site)
      3rd - install new template
      4th - slowly install the modules/extensions you want onto the /new-site until you get it exactly as you want it

      using rocketlauncher and then trying to transfer across your existing database, while possible, could create issues and ultimately more work

      I really like the features in the new crystalline template, I may just bite the bullet and start over.
