Performance: PC VS. Mac

When I try to access my site with both the PC and Mac I see a huge difference in performance. Load times on the Mac using safari are at a crawling pace whereas on the PC using Firefox, everything loads quickly.
Has anyone experienced this? I've tested on two different PC's and two different Macs at two different locations. Same results. -
