- This is the message I get when I try to set my file permissions in global config. Whats wrong guys?

- try changing your configuration file permissions to 777 or 666 via FTP

- i did that, but i get the error message when i do and it says unwriteable instead of writeable

How strange, you may just have to change it via ftp or make a copy of your config file to replace it...but apart from that *including the permissions change* there is nothing more to suggest!
