MYNXX - double MYSQL queries

I am using the nice Mynxx for a shop, products have reached about 1000 items listed in categories with 5 to 20 items per category. I was wondering abou the long page loading times, when clicking the categories. It only effects the category menue, all other pages and product pages show up in no time.
Doing a debug it came out, that the session query is send 2 times, one regular and a second in "Legacy mode" of course this mode is switches off. Googeling this "legacy queries logged mynxx" shows that others also have or have had this problem.
