Take a look at this site's logo. I designed this a long time ago and have since grown tired of it. At the time, I thought the Golf-Ball with the globe texture-map was cool but am thinking it is a bit outdated.

I am looking to update it with a little more flare, but am a little stumped as to which direction I should go. I know there is alot of graphical talent in the RocketTheme Community and was wondering if you guys had any ideas.

You know, that's really not a bad logo at all. I think it just needs a little more 'pop'.
The colors are really desatured and the glare on the top washes it out. Make the globe colors on the ball much more intense and... saturated. Less glare. The ocean blue and land colors will be much more primary if you do that, so I'd also change the font and color for the words. Lose the 'home' text over the globe.

- I agree...the ball/globe looks great; its the font & text colour that lets it down IMO.

- I agree, the logo itself is alright. It's just the font seems outdated and bland. You could search some logo design sites for inspiration.

Taking your advice, I kept the globe/golf ball idea but reworked the whole thing.
I updated the logo, take a look and tell me what you think.
If you have any other ideas, I would love to hear them.

- Very nice site By The way... You did an excellent job laying it out. Clean presentation. I did notice that the new logo isn't carrying over to the content pages. I'm sure you are working on it. Excellent use of the template!

Thanks for all the input. The logo should be carrying over now.. if it doesn't for ya, maybe your browser has the old page cached.
Anyway, I really appreciate the advice and glad you liked the updated graphics.
