Hello,
Can those templates be used as simple template.
I love the design of the april one but doesn't need to install joomla for the project I have in mind.
Is this possible?

If I understand you correctly, you like the look of the template but don't need Joomla, so a 'simple template' would be HTML/CSS only?
If that is the case, it's not possible, the templates need Joomla to work, there are no HTML versions.
If I've misinterpreted your question, please give us a few more details.
I.e., the templates can be as simple or as fancy as you like, it all depends on how much content you have and how you want to display it. - Thanks,
