Firebug and drop-down menus

Hallo!
I'm trying to explain my problem using my very basic english.....sorry!
I would like to use Firebug to check the the text and/or background properties of the Fusion drop-down menus used in some of the RT Templates. I'm talking about the main horizontal menu bar.
Unfortunately if I CLICK on an item in the menu bar to show the sub-menu items.........the Firebug Style (bottom right) panel do not respond anymore.
In other words if I want to use Firebug I need to LOCK the drop-down menus.......and I don't know how to do it.

hi quenda,
not sure which template are you using but you could try to set the following in the template parameters "menu delay" = 50000, the default setting could be something like 500.
then you can mouseover on one of the menu items to open the dropdown, and then inspect the dropdown with firebug.
