Advice for product catalog

- Hi all. I am wanting to use Joomla to host my website and I would like to have mostly a product catalog type layout. Any suggestions on templates and/or extensions that would lend themself to this? My partners are not tech savvy and would need to be able to add product images/descriptions in a very easy manner. I had originally thought to use a restricted article submission section listing for them to add products and then use a category blog layout to display the articles but this seems clunky when in use. I considered VirtueMart but I have yet to try it out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. By the way we are a renovation company but we will have a second venture soon that sells home and office furniture.

- I may have answered my own question by viewing some member sites. Mynxx seems to be a good choice for this website. Any other suggestions/comments/advice?
