Dear Rockettheme...
You do great designs BUT
1: They all look like joomla
2: Basically they look all the same
3: If you have no showcase, little modules they mostly look very boring!! Ever noticed that??
4: All templates are in the middle of the page at (now) always fixed width. Why not use the full browser width fluent?? Makes really sense with tablets. Wake up, please.
Really, it's time for some out of the box templates. Templates that don't look like joomla at the first sight. Templates that can be used to build WEBSITEs with joomla, not obvious JOOMLA PORTALS.
Joomla is very powerful and can be used for ALL KINDS of websites. However, Rockettheme only gives us designs for the one and only "hey, I'm a joomla page" website. Showcase, fancy modules etc.
It's time to think out of the box. Really. Here: demo.yootheme.com/dec07 and here demo.yootheme.com/mar08/index.php they at least tried a little bit back in 2008/08 but yet this is just 10% creative compared to the 2% creative rockettheme has become by reshaping/recolouring the same template over and over.
Here from Gizmode, 8 website you should stop building, and they are right:

- I can understand your viewpoint but RocketTheme is building templates based on widely accepted practices that have be known to appeal to the masses. There may be a design that pushes the envelope once in awhile but it's not going to come every month. If that's what you're looking for maybe a custom built template is the answer.

In my opinion my request will appeal to masses just the same as the recent templates.
Especially:

The "masses" ... well what makes you think that you know that the masses want templates that look obviously like joomla? The "main menu on top" "submenu left or top" and "modules" formula can be designed so that it doesn't look like joomla at first glance.

4.: often discussed. How many design orientated sites you know that use a fluid layout?
I know only one. BTW do you know how horrible fluid sites look on large widescreen displays? On my 27" they look just horrible.
... makes sense on tablets? AFAIK all Gantry sites look great on the iPad wich is the defacto standard for tablets now. It has 1024 x 768px. Isnt that perfect for 960px centered? - Last Edit: 14 years 11 months ago by Henning.

Get creative ... you dont have to use the themes like they look with the demo-content ...
Make them your own!
But of course that is just my personal opinion ...
rocketfuel (RT templates) + spark (your creativity) = a journey into space
(OK I'm a fan :cheesy: ...)
