    • Average users don't know or care about validation (they visit a site and expect it to display properly), while it's great to show your client, there no need (IMHO) to display that info on the site (the icon / links at the bottom), besides when you click on those links, it takes you away from the page.

Again (IMHO) on the Multimedia page, I'd simply include the links to the MP3 files in that link, not require the user to click on the picture and be redirected again...

      Just my 2 cents...

    • Hi Ralphot,
I like your new website for Joyce, but agree 100% with JEM in terms of the CSS validation icons. They distract from the site. The only other issue that comes to mind - is why is the image on the Front Page so grainy?

Thanks for your comments. OK, I could agree to that about the validation icons. Was just proud of the validation on all pages, I think I'll take them away.

Well, it was Joyce's wish to have the MP3 page that way, maybe I'll recommend her to simplify a bit.

      Hi Fred!
Well, there was a lot of pictures from way back that I had to choose from. I might find another sharper image.
On the other hand, it could give a sort of artistic touch to the opening page. It's lively and represent Joyce's way of performance. We'll see what we do.

      Thanks for your comments.

The fact is that the grainy touch on the upper part of the picture is coming from the "smoke" machine on stage. If you look on the lower part it's not grainy.

I have adjusted the page from your thoughts and I like it much better myself now!
      Thanks again.

I made this with Akiraka which I think suits the kind of site Joyce has.

      Critics and suggestions appreciated.

      joycehurley.com

      joycehurley.net

I have done this in template.css:

/* changed from 12px to -7 for better position of the mouse-over dropdown */
      .menutop li:hover ul, .menutop li.sfHover ul {left: 0;top:-7px;}

A tip if someone want to use it

It also take off the gap between menu item and submenu
