I'm using Bento Box (I suppose that's obvious
), with the following extensions:
Additional Extensions
Modules:- Content Item , to put random articles on the front page
- Mod HTML , to to control the placement/presentation of some other items, including the footer, the video clips, and the announcement on the front page. (It calls itself a Google Adsense module, but it's really so much more useful than that.
- Adsense Module (ClickSafe Special Edition) , by JoomlaSpan
- Bookmarks , by D. Jesus. This one's been lightly hacked (by me) to show the options the way I wanted them shown.
- GSearch Pro , by Joomlaspan, which replaces the default Google search option with Adsense for Google Search
- iJoomla Metatag Generator (though I do need to do some further pruning on the metatages, to make the related items work better)
- Related Items Bot and Module XTD . This is an absolutely brilliant plugin -- soooo much better than the built-in Related Items Module.
- SocialBookmarkerBot , by Patrick Wesey.
I'm still not entirely thrilled with the navigation (anyone know how to make the Related Items Bot show different related items for each item on the front page?), and the logo could use some work (I did try to bring in my old logo, but unfortunately I didn't save the PSD, and removing the background from the JPG just makes it messy), but it's coming along...
The old, static site, is archived at web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.newsoftheodd.com , if anyone would like to see News of the Odd pre-Rocket Theme. (You'll have to cut and paste that address, since the asterisk breaks it.)

LOL - great edit there Chia
I really love your site. Ive never seen someone use content to the extend and manor that you have. I adore the feel of the entire site, it has a very unique strucutre which doesnt follow the traditional lines of typical joomla sites which is a bonus in my books.
On FF, theres nothing in this module Ads by... Yes, of course it's Google
The final touch would be a more extensive Banner then it would be perfect.

The final touch would be a more extensive Banner then it would be perfect.I agree, but I haven't quite figured out how to do that in Bento Box (and I finally got to a point I realized if I didn't just put something in the header and call it good, I was never going to take the site live). I'll keep browsing the template forum for clues.

- In IE7 it's completely broken. the left menu hovers over the content and is jumps aroudn when i used your menu. Perhaps your playign with something and that caused it but when i checked it just nwo it was all jumbled about.

I would check out any threads from Mariela Vasquez in the Bentobox forum. I helped here extensively with her Banner in Bentobox ( one thread www.rockettheme.com/forum/index.php?t=9244&rb_v=viewtopic )

Yeah, I had the same problem on mine in IE ... there is a solution somewhere ... I will attempt a find
