    • Thank you all for the good comments. Thanks to Jomla, my project is really pushing up! I have to work on more details, but overall the site is running great and the users seem to love it.

Let me know if you have any suggestions please.. What do you think about the colors??? This I'm debating and don't know what everybody else thinks...

      Thanks for any comment!

I took the mod_newsflash module and I placed it on the "top" section of the siite.  Then on the style, I made it "horizontal"!

Excellent out-of-the-box thinking. Filed this one away for future reference. Now why do I think the makers of high-priced magazine-style components are going to hate you for this? ;)

The one suggestion I'd make is to drop your "landing" page and have your actual first content page as the home page. In terms of getting good Google ranking, it's better to have "real" content on your home page.

      Great job overall though, Ilir.

    • Brilliant soccer site, I must say. Here's a real Joomla newbie question. I was wondering how you have managed to publish your news on the frontpage arranged that way? As I understand it the left, black area is the main news article, and the four to the right are the following news (#2-5).

    • Yes! You are right! All I did is made sure the layout is setup where the module of the main feature is on #2, and the newsflash module on the featured original placement.

I still have a lot more work to do, such as video implementation etc.. but for now it is working fine and I think pretty much organized.

      Thanks again jomlah and rockettheme!!

Your comment is very well taken, but I'm going to have an english version to the site soon, and I wanted the users to choose the option of language from upfront, kinda' like fifaworldcup.com style. What do you think? Also, as far as ranking goes on google, or yahoo.. if you type the word "futboll" , in google futbolli.com should be rated first and on yahoo.com it is usually 2nd or 3rd, which is not bad for a 3 year site.. :)

Thank you again for your comment!

Ah, the advantages of a non-English site!

I suspect, "football" will not have as much luck with Google on the English version of your site, though. Personally, I'd keep your first "content" page (not the current landing page) as the home page, with a language-switch option somewhere prominent.

    • Hello,

Firstly, I have to say this is probably the best Joomla driven site I have seen. Congratulations! The layout is proffessional and well spaced. I actually didn't realise it wasn't in english because I was so taken with the aesthetics!

I have one question about the Newsflash module you have published in Top - how did you get uniform widths and verticle alignment? I tried it on my localhost install of Joomla and the verticle alignment is center and the column widths are all different. This use of the module is ingenius to say the least. Have you considered writing a tutorial on it?

EDIT: I fixed the widths problem....I just Centre Justified the image in the mos_images section of the content editor and put the {mosimage} tag between<p></p> tags. All the widths are uniform! Now just for the verticle alignment. I am wondering if this is a CSS adjustment?

      Kind regards,
