    • This is my first real website.

      Elixer 2.0 was perfect since it allowed for a pretty simple format. Which I thought was needed.

      I used the monoslideshow. This was great because it allowed me to do different slides hows on each project page. The marketing people are working on mp3 to put on each show for descriptions of the projects.

      The left navigation I took from the Bento Box Demo site.

      The GMaps was easy to install and will allow for easy addition of additional projects.

      Any feedback would be great, since this is my first real site.

      Who are you hosting with ? I am using dreamhost right now and am very frustrated that my joomla sites are slow and have not had luck with accelerators and such.

    • Great site there - love the customisted background, subtle but effective. You can successfully used the slideshow in the prominant position, it is really effective. Everything seems to connect with each other to a fine degree.

      My only concerns are that the gridded background does not continue throughout the entire site and there is a slight "mis-alignment" of the slideshow to the main content - its size is slightly smaller. I would have thought it would have been greater to have it completely linear.

      I use www.simplehost.com . I have used other services in my internet dabbling in the past and have never been happy.

      Simple Host is.....simple. The service is great and the "starter package" seems to include more than other services. I should also say that I am friends with the owner of the company, so I am biased.

      The gridded background is only in the prominent position. So when I don't use it, it closes. I am working on getting it to work through the entire site. Knowledge is the only hindrance there. But I will get it.

      Good call about the slideshow size. I will definitely change that.
