Additional Extensions (Components, Modules, Plug ins):
      Custom Development:
Not much custom development on the template, Only a slight bit of CSS editing, nothing major. Though it first had a top-left header logo in the same colours as the template. Very fitting. But the client had a logo prepared (not mine) and he wanted that in. Client is King we say in our Country. So the logo is not my choice and am aware it is perhaps not so fitting.

As for some development on non-template matters:
The VirtueMart Store has been transferred into a "quote-generator". Basically this needed a lot of editing in VirtueMart language files. When asking for a quote, there is no such thing as "invoice', where VirtueMart language files are full of the word "invoice". Changing those to "your quote" did 99% of the job.
This client wanted a website where visitor and store-owner would have a price of sunscreens in a matter of seconds. And when visitor/store-owner meet when interested, both have the same quote and prices to talk about. The client spent hours and hours on making manual quotes, where now he just refers potential clients to his website for a quote and all is automated. Filling the VirtueMart products was a drag. The products have so many extra features that it was really a lot of work getting their price catalogue into an easy to access choice-menu for visitors on sunscreens. As the store-owner is absolutely computer-illiterate, ViruteMart had to be adapted slighty to sent emails out when quotes are done, this is not standard in VirtueMart.

      Any comments are welcomed.

    • The site has a great structure to it which cannot be faulted.

My only criticism would be the graphics. The "CBM" in the footer (not the reflection) looks out of place with the bevel/emboss style effect. The main logo looks a bit "pixelated" to me.

Apart from those little personal opinons, great little site :)

    • Hi,

Thank you for your time and comments. With main logo. Do you mean top-left or the banner with star and button?

    • I mean the one at the top left saying "suntec zonwering"

The star is fine but a little glow might void that slight pixelated look

    • nice implementation of virtuemart.
mabey a non braking space after the euro sign might improv readability of prices.

Don't know how, but make it mor clear that it is an estimate (offerte) insed of shopping.

      Inspiring clesr site, well done!

    • I was afraid of that one...
I mean the one at the top left saying "suntec zonwering"

I was supplied with this one. No chance on changing it. It is all I received. I wish I could change it.

Thanks for the kind words Joost. You seem to have a Dutch name and I assume ( A nice English saying for this goes... 'to assume' makes an ass of u and me) you were able to read this website. I am glad you mention, making more clear it is about quotes (Offertes), and the fact you don't know how. As the client is a man working with his hands and no writer, I have had to go through so much troubles to eventually get anything written from them. I know about websites, not about sunscreens. In that aspect, I have tried to make it as clear as possible (in Dutch that is ;) ) that it concerns quotes and not real orders.

There were even more references on the front page to the quote VirtueMart store, but the client thought that was overkill and might scare away visitors. They were removed.

Tough position, making more clear it concerns quotes and not orders, but avoid overkill...

Any tip about how to make this more clear are more than welcome.

P.S. non breaking space has been added, thanks for that tip!
