Software, pictures and PORSCHE are the themes on my site. I am using the excellent BENTOBOX template.

      Additional components are

      joomlastats_v220
      JoomlaFCK120
      com_joomlaxplorer_1.6.0
      monoslideshow
      mod_digi1 clock

Any feedback or suggestions would be great :D

      Cheers!

    • I am from the UK and the site takes forever to load, it resets a few times before connecting.

Im not a personal fan of the digi clock myself but that is just to preferences.

      Overall, great site :)

    • Hi James,

could you please try one more time www.sonnabend-edv.de and see if the loading time has improved. I turned off the WHOIS feature in Joomlastats.

      Regards

    • Nice job Robert!

Comments: I think it needs a personal touch on the logo/header. Other than that things seem to work ok and there is a good amount of content.

    • Hi Robert :D

      >>>> I think it needs a personal touch on the logo/header.
Haven´t figured out how just yet ;) But it´s way up on the list.
Had to add all the pictures from the first of may, so I had no
time to check on the header.

      Regards

    • when you say you "haven't figured out how just yet" are you saying you're not sure what how to change the header or that you haven't figured out what you want? I can help you learn how to change the header if you want. But when it comes to the graphics....eh, I'd have to leave that part up to someone else. I'm the worst at graphics.

    • I´m not sure how to change the header and my grafics are surely worse than yours ;D I like the Bento Box font, where can I get that? Also the banner does not work with the 2 rows of tabs :-[ Do you know of a workaround?

    • for the font, if you dl the template source you should be able to just open it up in FW and then retype what you want. Otherwise, you'd have to search the internet for that font type.

As for the banner, at a quick glance I would say you could Increase the height of the header which should push your menu tabs down some. If it doesn't you'd have to move them down your self. Once you did that then just publish the banner module. Have you tried publishing the banner module to see how it looks?

Also, are you using FireFox? If so, have you tried using Firebug? It's a handy little tool and I don't think I'd be able to do squat w/o it now that I use it everyday. With Firebug you can make real time adjustments and see results instantly then once you have your final touch just go into your source files on the server and make the changes, save and boom, you're done.

    • Installed Firebug, not quite sure how to go about using it!! When will I ever learn this stuff, I have only been at it for nearly 25 years ??? Have to go to Chicago taday and I don´t want to take the laptop. So when I´m back in germany on monday, I will take a look at the header thing.

      Regards
