    • Check out my site using versatility III, http://www.TotalRegistration.net . This is my second Joomla based site. This company provides online registration services to high schools to help them register their students for Advanced Placement tests.

I am using Community Builder, jombackup, Data Base Query, private pages, Joomap and JCE.

Let me know what you think.

      Thanks,
      Mike

    • GollumX,

Thanks for taking a look. I didn't change anything in the template. I must say I think the template does not look nearly as sharp on the pages without modules directly below the menu. I think I have it so most pages have somthing there now.

Has anyone tried RokSlideshow with Versatility III. I think that might be a nice touch on the home page.

      Thanks,
      Mike

    • I recieved some comments about having a favicon over at the Joomla forum. I do have one, but apparently not everyone is seeing it. What are people seeing when they go to the site? Hopefully not the standard Joomla favicon. I just overwrote the favicon.ico in the images folder. I had a differently named favicon that I had specified in the configuaration, but apparently it was sometimes defaulting to favicon.ico. Has anyone else experienced issues like this?

      Thanks,
      Mike

    • Daniel,

Thanks for letting me know that you see my favicon. I think the key was to make mine named favicon.ico even though I specified another name in the Joomla configuration.

      Thanks,
      Mike

    • Any one use any great SEO tools to allow better naming of pages and descriptions in Joomla. I have not been happy with how page descriptions show up in Google and was looking for a way to make them better. I have a site description that looks like it gets put on first and then the description for the content gets added. Is there any way to easily reverse the order, so the content description is first?

      Thanks,
      Mike

    • I see the pencil FavIcon too. Ummm, your mouse in the logo looks like a bullet (not implying anything, just commenting).

Also, did you try it without the tree (pathway)?

I like the color scheme and the overall setup of the site.

My first reaction was needs images (yes, I know there are images, but More)...and the font on the bottom disclaimer needs to be smaller. To better explain what I am saying - I went and did a search of school sites and found this one..(yes, I know I am a dork) you can scroll through it
      >>> www.cornellcollege.edu/

Your scrolling accomplishments would look more striking in images too...even generic images of like school pencil, desk, etc...

Just throwing this out there - take it or leave it...

    • Jamie,

Thanks for the comments. I am still thinking about more images.

I would like to make the disclaimer smaller, but part of the legal stipulation from the owners of the trademarks is that is is the same size as the body text. I therefore have my hands tied with the size. It is very important for search traffic that I am able to use their trademarks.

Thanks for taking a look and commenting.

      Mike
