- I just *feel* that .flv, .swf are better and load faster than .wma, I could be wrong.

Yes you are right Jia Lu but I'm confused now
At www.freemooviesonline.com I'm using only flv files and the streaming is faster than other websites for sure. If you compare the buffer performance at my website and youtube for example, I'm sure you will see the difference.
However I'm using wma at my other website www.tvsplanet.com (free tv directory). The reason is I can display how many videos as I want in the mediaplayer and all tv come from other websites. A lot of channel use asx files to display videos.

Hi Franck,
Great looking site!
A few hopefully building critics.
- Somehow I want to rip off the login tab. It somehow seems not fitting, this might be a very personal thing, but for me it ruins your great header.
- The FMO forum; I am guessing here, probably smf or fireboard forum cannot give you what you technically need from the forum you want. Perhaps think of integrating Fireboard and it might well have a better look & feel in your complete website.
Next to that I must really compliment you and how much info you were able to put on the frontpage, simply amazing!
Also a very well working item is your streaming movie on the right top. Apple Mac (I am on a 1.5 Ghz not so powerfull PowerBook G4) is not the most fluent in showing that sort of streaming and on your site it runs fluently! - Last Edit: 17 years 4 weeks ago by Piet Nutbey.

You are totally right about the control panel. The site looks better without the login tab. I was thinking to use a login module tested in another website and I think it will be better
I choose vBulletin for the forum because the default template is great (just my opinion). I experienced some problems to upgrade Fireboard in another site and i don't want to loose all my work at FMO (yes, I can do a backup but I really don't want to have more work with the forum). I used SMF with several websites but I know the integration will be more difficult with joomla! 1.5
Actually, there is a free component to synchronize users in vBulletin but only for joomla 1.5. For joomla! 1.0... there is a paid component.
Also, I'm very impressed with vBulletin. It's possible to ad a lot of modules in it!!! Well, when I choose vBulletin, I was thinking about the next version of the website when joomla! 1.5 will be stable...
The player I'm using on the frontpage is not "powerful" like the version used in content page. I have 2 versions of the same player. In the content pages, when you watch a movie, the buffer is faster. In reality, all the project was build around the player. It's the master piece of the project

Hi Piet!
Well, first I need to finish to add all movies and animations in English. After that, I will see if it's possible to put movies from other countries. Each country have different laws about copyright and I really want to make this website fully legal. I can't put videos from France for example! Or just a few...
However, I will create a section only for free documentaries and I will be able to put videos from different countries...
