A very good start - looks like a useful site! A couple of opinions:
- Consider moving the login module to the "top" position (as in the demo). It looks so nice there in this template.
- The logo looks cluttered - the two different shadows looks wrong. You may wish to remove the lines and arrows in the background to make a cleaner look.
- The inset position is not a good place for banner ads, especially animated ones. You do not want to create the perception that your site is all about the advertising.
