      Additional Extensions: Joomla 1.5.1 Running Natve with ..... Upgrades to fireboard core plus latest post modules for mainpage and Groupjive latest posts for members area. Upgrades to Groupjive including fireboard integration. Upgrades to core modules ... ie CB_contacts for contact us section, fireboard search extension. UddeIM upgrades including IM module in members area, .... many features only viewable in member mode. SSL login MyAccount tab which redirects to same tab and then shows all member functions on successfull login. SOBI2 added with CB Plugin so users can contribute to the Index..... much much more

      Custom Development: Graphics changes to populus yet keeping the same overall look and feel. New logo design layout modifications (module placement using existing positions) added site search on main toolbar. New module created by me to show Listings from the auctions section.

      Other Features: Current - Auctions section in Marketplace with modified header and footer to mimick populus theme and all functioning tabs.
      Future - Planning to keep upgrading modules and have plans to integrate auctions section with CB profiles

      Any specific areas of my site that I'd like feedback on, if any: Basically I'd like feedback on the actual layout and functionallity, I'm not getting much traffic or feedback right now in order to debug if needed.

      Additional Comments: Most links to module/component/plugin authors have been removed so site appears seamless and no unneeded links are shown. Thanks go out to the creators of the components and modules i'm running.

      All comments and recommendations welcome

    • did you have any trouble getting the group forums to cooperate that you wouldn't have expected to? My problem...

      when the groups create their forums, they don't go into the special catagory, they create as top level and the link then resolves to the main forum page. This only applies to groups created on the front end, backend creation is fine.

      I see you are not having this problem which has eaten hours of my life.

      thx

    • Yes theres an issue in groupjive forum integration not utilizing the actual forum category number you specify, I had the same problem. i haven't found a good fix yet so what I did was replace the variable that holds the main category number and replaced it with my main category number in gj.core.groups.php.... i beleive GJ is aware of the problem. See below for area in the file gj.core.groups.php where I replaced my main category #42
      if(JB) {
                     //Joomlaboard or Fireboard integration
                     $query="INSERT INTO #__".PREFIX."_categories"
                          . "\n(parent, name, cat_emoticon, "
                          . "\nlocked, alert_admin, moderated,"
                          . "\nmoderators, pub_access, pub_recurse,"
                          . "\nadmin_access, admin_recurse, ordering,"
                          . "\nfuture2, published, checked_out,"
                          . "\nchecked_out_time, review, hits, "
                          . "\ndescription, headerdesc, class_sfx,"
                          . "\nid_last_msg, numTopics, numPosts,"
                          . "\ntime_last_msg)"
                          . "\nVALUES"
                          . "\n('42', '".escapeString($name)."', 0,"
                          . "\n0, 0, 1,"
                          . "\n$my->id, 0, 0,"
                          . "\n0, 0, 1,"
                          . "\n0, 0, 0,"
                          . "\nnow(), 0, 0,"
                          . "\n'', '', '',"
                          . "\n'0', '0', '0',"
                          . "\nNULL)"

    • I could cry man, thank you. Is there any drawback to this?

      If you don't mind I'm going to repost this on the groupjive site, other people have this problem and cannot solve it.

      Thanks so much again

    • not a problem, i havent noticed any drawbacks and i never had a chance to post on GJ site until I was sure it was working good. All I did was add the 42 in the code to ensure the database table for the forums had the category parent. I was looking for a more sure fire fix before posting on the GJ site. I haven't had time to review all of the code as of yet to find where the variable is losing the parent category number at.

    • Matthew or anyone else,

      How did you install Groupjive 1.6 into Joomla 1.5. The Groupjive install directions in their read me text seems like it was for Joomla 1.1X. I've tried Groupjive zipped and unzipped I can't get it to load through the joomla install feature. James S from Rockethemes says it won't work and the GroupJive website seems to say that it GJ1.6 won't work with J1.5, but the populus demo has GJ and Slick hobbies seems to have it operational.

      Thanks,

      David
