I changed some of the main mojoblog template code to use some styles on HiveMind's main template. I also added a forum bridge that automatically creates a forum post for each blog entry. Comment counters and comment link from the entry is done automatically via the vbulletin bridge plug-in that I heavily customized.
Joomla will be used for static pages such as gallery, about us, etc.
vbulletin theme hasn't been customized yet, but that's next.
Looks good, I like the colors. Although I think the black theme is a lil too black if ya know what I mean. I used the white version but I do like it. Nice job.
Hi Reggie. Site is looking clean & crisp. Can you tell me more about how you used MojoBlog and vBulletin for posts and comments.
Particularly, how you changed some of the main mojoblog template code to use some styles on HiveMind's main template, , and how you added a forum bridge that automatically creates a forum post for each blog entry and how you included comment links automatically via the vbulletin bridge plug-in that I heavily customized.
I heavily debating whether to use a blog (Myblog or MojoBlog) or SMF forum (others) on my website. Integration of blogs and forums does not get much press here at RT. Any guidance is appreciated.
I used and customized this wordpress-vbulletin bridge:
www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=134521
In the MojoBlog, I removed the commenting script and added my own to link to vB. I also changed a small script to use the 'readon' class for the 'Read More...' button at the end of the article.
I also created a new module to display the vB active forum topics.
As with vB, I used a dark theme and customized the header, footer, and headerinclude to use the HiveMind look.
