Yeah, it's more of a Catch-22 among the worldwide community of Paranormal Researchers. The general rule is that no one should ever charge for something like that since it's more about furthering the understanding of paranormal activities and of course searching for the truth. It can get expensive buying equipment as we're all now learning but nothing beats the sheer excitement of catching real evidence either in-person or through our equipment. =]

I've been experienced random slow-downs too with the site. I can't tell if it's just GoDaddy or the fact that it's Joomla!.
I went through and optimized every single image on the site in Photoshop for the web, even more so than when I created them the first time. I also disabled as many plugins and addons as I could. So the site should be as slim as possible, but I definitely agree it could take a little more optimizing (or if we end up with enough traffic, a dedicated server).

Say no more than GoDaddy
.
I used to have a couple Joomla! sites there and pulled them because of performance problems. Same site, different server and walla, speedy gonzales..

- Thanks for the feedback Tony! Can you recommend a better one that doesn't charge an arm and a leg (per se) for hosting? I have no qualms about changing hosts as long as they're pretty reasonably priced.
