    • Whoops I thought I responded to your post, what problems are you having in ie6 because I only have ie7 and ff3.0...

So some things changing this week on my site... adding a register graphic to bring more attention to signing up for the site, will make it custom in cs3 and publish in advert3, along with other more modern-like web 2.0 type graphics that will help draw attention to the main aspects of the site. Also, if my horizontal SignalLogin problem gets fixed, moving my login up top above the banner in a custom module position.

Also adding the front-page slide-show/featured article viewer from frontpageslideshow.com on wednesday, and then changing the background color to something that wont clash with the blue of the tabs, because I am a fan of that blue, just am trying to steer away from the original template colors in every aspect.

As much critiquing as possible would be awesome!

    • Looks good. I am using Synapse myself!

Your site doesn't seem to fit on my screen, it over-runs on the right and I have to use the scroll bar. As I said, I am using Synapse, too, and that doesn't happen to me.

    • I should have been more specific...

      FireFox V2.0.0.15
      Monitor resolution 1024 x 768

Site is completely broken in IE6 (as can be expected)

I have attached a screen shot of what I am seeing in Fire Fox.

I wonder if it has something to do with the wrapper on the Roanoke Tri page? The other thing that is different between my synapse page and fitNoke is there seems to be a border around the page. This border (background colour) isn't present on the demo site, either (which renders correctly on my screen).

      I hope this helps.

    • yea i customized it to not be a set width by removing the div wrappers, which puts the blue border all the way around; i think it looks more professional this way. In ie6 i do have the warning enabled...so that should help those people out. The reason it doesn't work for you is because I have my body width set at a min of 1100. I'll change that right now and if you could re-post that would be awesome!

    • Thanks for pointing that out piper, I reset my min-body width to 980. Should work for you now without scroll bars. As for ie6, nothing I can do. Internet Explorer sucks and I wish it was never created. haha

    • Brilliant! It looks perfect now!

As for IE6... I agree it shouldn't be used and I also have the warning (another great feature from RT). I just thought I'd take a look -- just in case.

Will your page still appear centred in a widescreen now that you have changed the settings?

      Good work.

    • Yep! I use a 26 inch monitor and it has always looked fine...what the body width does is help out with your site when you "restore down" your browser window. I was having a problem when doing this with a large blue vertical bar coming into play when resizing the window. A simple code addition helped the fix. whats your website by the way?
