    • Using one of my favourite themes for this one I have created the site

      www.AmazingPlanet.info

      It uses EasyGallery component for the gallery (which is looking pretty empty at the moment and Xe-media's video component. I still have to fill them up with images and videos.

      I use the modules below the tabs for my adverts and they seemed to blend in quite nicely with the current colour scheme.

      My plan is to add over 100 articles for amazing places around the world, ive still got a lot of content to add :D

      All the images so far, except for the map, come from istockphoto.com and the text logo was created by using a cool font and basically adding a drop shadow and outglow in photoshop.

      There is still a huge amount of work to be done, but Im happy with the look so far.

      Very nice choice of colours. And it goes very well to the black background. You should try to have more news related stuff and try to find articles about our amazing planet.

      The news thing is an idea, maybe even an environmental slant to it as that seems a popular topic these days.

      As suggested I have added two new sections - Articles and News.
      Currently the news sections takes rss feeds from EcoEarth, Google News and Yahoo News. The Article section I will get some content from article sites and such. I will keep looking to see if I can find some other information to bring, but thanks again for the suggestion :)

      I am using the Joomla Component FeedGator to get the news into the site.

    • Good choice. I will also recommend to use "free articles". You can find some websites that free articles. Just remember to give credit to the author and he/her website.
