    Jewelry Site based on Elixer

Posted 18 years 5 months ago
    • Just finished updating my wife's custom made jewelry site with Elixer. I had been looking for the right template to fit the "fun" fell my wife wanted, and this template had it, especially with a preset color scheme that matched what my wife wanted exactly! (Thanks!!)

I though the top was a bit boring so added some repeating flowers. Was worried that it might be too distracting, but I don't find it to be the case.

The template also works extremely well with the VirtuMart Component.

Lastly, I was able to use the Top module after doing a studio photo shoot with a couple of models wearing my wife's jewelry.

      Please feel free to comment:

      Thanks,

    • Nice adaptation, Sean. The flowers add some feminine personality to the site. I bet your wife is pleased.

      Chirstopher,

Thanks for your comments. I'm slowly (with the emphasis on slowly) getting the handle with templating for Joomla!. I've still got a long way to go.

    • Nice site! Well done, you've really kept it simple and effective, everything works very well and VM does integrate nicely!

A few things I personally would review:
      - the default Joomla article icon on the News page
      - the image in the header could be a little sharper
      - and the "Add to Cart" button could be replaced with something more "Web 2.0" like :) .

Good Luck to your wife :) .

      Thanks,

The logo is really clear on my end, but when I view it at 1024x768 it seems choppy. Wierd.

      Thanks for the comments.
