    • Hi guys, thanks for the response so far... nice to see someone else so close'DAN' :)
Bizzarly I am (one of our virus 'guyz')working on a network tomorrow in chipping sodbury...getting closer...just a couple of miles :o

(Frank I reckon you are right)Yep the problem i have is with the 'firefox' not showing up the main body... I think its the html_mod i have used for one of the left hand 3rd party software items. If anyone wants to make a recommendation to fix before i remove it.. please do.

There is plenty more virus info for you if needed as we also contribute to one of the UK's most popular virus news sites that we run. I am going through the process of updating it to The wonderful and fantastic sporticus template!

I agree with the mirrored effect for the logo... that does need to go. we dont use it on our business cards or stationary.. so it should not really be there...thanks for reminding me.

Virusguyz has been running since 1999 and I have personally visited clients and removed approx 6000 viruses from there machines.. we have 2 other removal guyz working with us and have moved from sole trader to limited status.
we also do a little web design but only since rockettheme came about...websites did not quite look so tasty before!!!

Slightly off topic, I have trowled Through the members site showcase and got to admit there are so many good web designers available now..some great designs and i get alot of inspiration from here ( I agree with you yves with the 'green search engine' for site of the month)
PRAISE MR FULLER, Yves, youyou and all the contributers here for all the work that has been achieved.. Again, well done!

Dave just posted at the same time as you did your last one... thanks for the support....

I also do not see any text in the mainbody and the link "How to help your kids use social networking Web sites more safely" ended up not going to that article. That was one I really wanted to read, btw - I have a teenager using those sites. A search on the microsoft page that came up did indicated the page was missing. Bummer if they removed it.

I can't wait to see the finished product because I am sure it will be very informative.

I will try to get the story link for you feathers.
I will post a link to our main virus news site.... or just google for 'anti virus news' kinda SEO'ed that search term and beat 107,000,000 to the top of google except for the 'register' they have a PR of 8.. i only have a '3' hehe i did beat all the virus software manufacturers though!
      'enter the google sandbox team'

please respect the fact that we are updating that site as we speak to the 'sporticus' template..p.s. if anyone wants to add there links to that just PM me.. or recommend a good self linking modual that i can place on the site so u can do it yourself!

      Thanks Dan, notes already taken...
      thanks for the compliments..

For the template. my next item to address is...

The horizontal Green bar and the menu bar I would like to keep the same size as the body of the page not the full width.. I think this has been done in Vers II. Is there some optional code to add to make this happen...or Am i looking at Swapping over templates? I dont mind either way as its all part of the learning process..

Problem with mozzy is now corrected I think..
Reflection under logo/ header is next.

      thanks in advance

      lee

p.s. just saw your your post Yves...apparently every time i place a mark on the map a BIG LOVE icon appears!!
      and were both guys!

:) i will do it now!

    • I'd seriously consider swapping to VII - I started a site on Versatility just a few days ago and ended up swapping to VII ( www.encompassed.co.uk/ ) simply because the full-width strips are just too much - especially if you have pages with minimal text. The client didn't like the way the readability was compromised...I think for real loaded sites Versatility is okay, but for lighter, less content-rich sites, VII looks miles better.

    • Do you think there is an option if: give the template the minimised appearence as default and took away the option of widening it, then sorted out the code to fix the 'showcase' width and menu bar width.. sounds feasible? or head in the clouds...

    • Yeah should be easy enough, but surely what you'd be left with would be a fudged version of VII?

Because the image dimensions between the 2 templates are the same, you won't lose the work that you've already done, you can port them straight over - it would be worth installing VII, setting as default, and seeing if the layout is similar to what you are trying to achieve; if not, then get stuck in to modding Versatility as you'd like it.

      Cheers

I don't see you on the map... I see your profile on frappr, but not your location on RT's map...
