Good start for you Bert!
I think it looks good overal. Maybe you have a look on you events calender. It now standard and don't match the template. Maybe Eventlist is something for you. Quite easy to use and adjustable to your template.

Changed the small calendar CSS. Must change the big calendar also. I's becoming a real site I think.
