MC Menu translatation not working properly

I am trying to use mission control with the administrator default language set to portuguese. menu items are not being translated neither are the sub menu items like "Article Manager", "Article Trash" and etc.
i already tried to manually translate en_gb and pt_br.ini files (even if this is not the default language set on administrator) but this wont reflect on mission control. I was able to translate 1 menu item so far. Users, Extend, Configure and Dashboard remains in english. What am I missing here? is there something else I need to change? I even tried messing with the JText: for each menu item on rtmenuhelper.class.php
On FAQ it says you are supposed to copy the file to mod_mod_menu, is this a typo for mod_menu or is it mod_mod_menu
What am i missing here?

- Translation is not done yet for MC. This is quite a large job and I wanted to make sure the template was solid before we started putting in translation strings for everything. It's on the list for the near future. If anyone wants to help with this initiative, the help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the answer Andy.
Gilberto, I found the string pretty intuitive and it ended up that the issue was adding them and translating them on pt_br template ini file.

Hi Fábio thanks for the answer.
I modified the file from the template using Translations Manager, but some elements could not be translated into the file like "System Tools" and almost all the ones in the right-up corner. I think I will modify it directly through the database. - Last Edit: 8 years 11 months ago by Kat05.

Translation can't be achieve yet. Some language string are missing in language file.
Anyway, you'll find language file into, yoursite/administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.tpl_rt_missioncontrol_j15
you copy it and rename with your language prefix xx-XX.tpl_rt_missioncontrol_j15 and Save into your language folder, send on line and here you are
