Can't login to admin after transferring site

  • Can't login to admin after transferring site

    • I recently used Akeeba Kickstart to transfer a Joomla 1.5 install from my dev server to the client's server, but I'm getting an error when I enter my admin login. It appears to be complaining that PHP5 is not installed, but I had already enabled that on the IIS server and had successfully installed Joomla 1.5 in a subdomain to make sure there would be no problems when the time came to move the site.

      I've opened a ticket with Webecs support and they said "We have another tech look at this and we are not seeing anything wrong on this side. In IIS your website is mapped to PHP5 and we have verified the php extension is a php5 extension. You might want to consider upgraing to the latest version of joomla, when we were searching around i thought we saw something about v1.5 having this issue."

      I don't think 1.5 is the issue since I had the test site working fine.

      The site is http://kelleychiropractic.com/ and it is hosted on a Webecs IIS server.

      Upon entering the login info in the admin backend, the browser shows the front end instead, and if you go back to the admin page, this is the error:

      Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Exception' with message 'Old PHP4 DOM XML extension detected. phpQuery won't work until this extension is enabled.' in E:\WWW\kelleychiropractic.com\wwwroot\administrator\templates\rt_missioncontrol_j15\lib\phpQuery.php:4843 Stack trace: #0 E:\WWW\kelleychiropractic.com\wwwroot\administrator\templates\rt_missioncontrol_j15\lib\phpQuery.php(4631): phpQuery::createDocumentWrapper('<div id="conten...', NULL) #1 E:\WWW\kelleychiropractic.com\wwwroot\administrator\templates\rt_missioncontrol_j15\overrides\com_cpanel\injections-replace.php(4): phpQuery::newDocument('<div id="conten...') #2 E:\WWW\kelleychiropractic.com\wwwroot\administrator\templates\rt_missioncontrol_j15\lib\rtcore.class.php(231): include('E:\WWW\kelleych...') #3 E:\WWW\kelleychiropractic.com\wwwroot\administrator\templates\rt_missioncontrol_j15\lib\rtcore.class.php(75): RTCore->_injectClasses() #4 E:\WWW\kelleychiropractic.com\wwwroot\administrator\templates\rt_missioncontrol_j15\index.php(17): RTCore->initRenderer() #5 E:\WWW in E:\WWW\kelleychiropractic.com\wwwroot\administrator\templates\rt_missioncontrol_j15\lib\phpQuery.php on line 4843

    • Definitely looks like a PHP config error on your hosting provider. Basically looks like the DOM module is not enabled with your PHP installation.

    • Thanks for the heads-up. After a review of what the client was paying for Webecs, we decided to move the site to a different webhost, and everything is working fine there.
