Problem installing MC

    • Hi there,
I've actually been having difficulty installing ANY new modules, and I'm not sure why. But I'm wondering if I need to unzip this template before installation.

What happens when I try and install the zip file is that the system will "chew" on it for awhile, and then I get a page that says "Bad Request - Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand."

This has also happened on sub-directory installations of Joomla lately, and I haven't been able to figure out why.

Here's the site, in case it's useful: http://www.yourbusybee.com/index.php

      Thanks in advance.

    • Trying deleting all you cookies and then reload.
If your running SEF try turning that and Apache mod_rewrite OFF to see if that makes a difference

    • Tried deleting cookies, and SEF was already turned off. Can't find the Apache mod_rewrite item. Still got the error message when I tried to install the template.

The "Apache mod_rewrite item" is below the SEF friendly URL's in Global Configuration.

Also, I'm assuming your using the J25 version?, which one of these do you have -> Admin -> Site -> System Info -> System Info ->
Web Server to PHP interface apache2handler -or- CGI / FastCGI ?

What's your PHP verson and this setting -> Admin -> Site -> System Information -> PHP Settings -> Open basedir:
