    Quick Links Problem

    Posted 11 years 6 months ago
    • Why is it that I can not link to modules so my client can just jump to them. When I create the link and try to use it I get this error:
      This image is hidden for guests.
      Please log in or register to see it.

      Here is an example of the link I am using:
      index.php?option=com_modules&view=module&layout=edit&id=224

      Many thanks,
      Houston

    • Your client might be using the 'resolved' url, but instead you must use the URL that is from the original link, so find where the link is to that page, rather than the url on the page you end up on.

    • I have no idea what all that means. As far as I can tell the original link and the like where I end up seems to be the same.

      Resolved ->
      index.php?option=com_modules&view=module&layout=edit&id=224

      Original Link ->
      index.php?option=com_modules&task=module.edit&id=224

      Dashboard -> Module Manager -> Right click on the module name you want to edit -> from popup select "Copy Link Address" -> without the http or localhost stuff you should see - index.php?option=com_modules&task=module.edit&id=115
