SOLVED Template will not appear in manager

For some reason the template is not appearing in the back-end. I'm still looking for a solution. Cleared cache already.
When I select the template from the manager from the dropdown i get this:
There are no styles installed matching your query
I tried reinstalling. Any ideas?
EDIT:
It does appear in the templates view in the template manager. It just won't appear in the styles view so I can't set it to the default template either
EDIT2:
Seems like the template is not in the database either.. It is on the ftp!

- On which version of Joomla did you install the template? Did you try to Discover extensions from Extension manager?
