Fireworks and Color problems

I am running into problems with the Rockettheme source PNG.s I work on them and then export the slices... but the colour changes slightly, so they don't match the other template images.
Has this happened to anyone before?

- Ive never had the problem but when reading the forums, a fair few are having the same difficulties. The only think I can think of, is its not exporting to the right PNG format, not too sure if changing through the PNG scale from 8 - 24 -32 in the optimization toolbar might make a difference

- I had this problem in Mobius. It had to do with my version of Fireworks (I was using MX). The header used a tool called Overlay that was new to Fireworks 8. What version of FW do you have and what template are you working on.

Thanks for the helping! I'm using Fireworks 8 and the bento box template... I will adjust the PNG settings and see what happens.

- I think the issue is being cause by the fact I have added a logo that is a different red. This new red is taken into account when the software converts images to pngs... Does that make sense?

- I can;t change the red in the logo because it's their signature... It weird that the original red gradient appears to have the same hex values but exports differently.

I've fixes it by exporting all the images again... the colors a little duller, but that's ok. Unfortunately, I've got to move on... but you can look at the results at

Hi The problem of color definately stems from the png export format or the the level of compression used. So go into your export settings and try a higher export color change. The higher the pallet count the better color match you should get, it may be that even though the right hex color number is there, another color to get that color may not be present thus the issue.
Especially if dealling with gradients etc, to get the best result you sometimes have to increase the color pallet.
If you still are having issues, it may be best just to chage all the other header colors to match the results your getting. - Don't think, Feeeeel... It is like a finger pointing to the moon. (slap) Don't concentrate on the finger or you'll miss all that heavenly glory.
