Setting up a shop (using mynxx / virtuemart / Card payments)

Hi Guys,
Ive recently been asked to create a shop for a retailer of white goods (fridges, freezers, microwaves etc..)
The current site they have, limits there payment methods and is generally poor GUI ending in customers going elsewhere or having to phone to process an order.
Im new to online payments via credit card as ive always gone via paypal.
As far as im aware, i need a
Domain (already have)
Hosting (im with an excellent host)
SSL certificate (1 comes free with my hosting)
Virtuemart (which allows ssl and credit cards, and comes with virtuemart)
let the credit card company that were allowing online payments (already done)
Other than this, how hard is it to get this up and running? so i need anything else?
Anyone els ehave experiance with this?
