How to get rid of words in Static Content Pages

  • How to get rid of words in Static Content Pages

Posted 17 years 7 months ago
    • This may not be a specifically Rocket Theme question but I am using Color matic so here goes:
In all my Static content pages the words "About the author: Administrator" show up at the end of the page and I can't get rid of them. Does anybody know a quick fix?
      Thanks

    • Hello Eamon

      1. Login to Joomla! Admin Panel
      2. Go to Site > Global Configuration
      3. Go to the tab "Content"
      4. Set "Author Names" to Hide
      5. Save

      Hope that helps

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I had already done that and it didn't work. I just checked again and Author Names is set to "Hide"
      Any other ideas?

    • The only other step would be to go to the static content page and disable it there

Hmm... I thought that the Global Config overrides the other settings... mayhaps not it appears... the plot thickens!

    • I have tried that also but it doesn't work. This is the offending item that appears at the bottom of all static pages only:

    • By chance, are you running iJoomla! Magazine component? If so, you can get rid of those in the iJoomla configuration.

Edited to state what I should have asked: "By chance do you have the iJoomla! Magazine component installed?"
