Blog style instead of columns. Anyone?

- I want my web site to act like a blog, dangit. I want multiple posts on the front page, and I want them in succession to each other, instead of the columned layout. In its current state I can only get two or three posts on the front page at a time, and if I turn on any of the site modules everything gets all crunched up.

Admin backend > Menu/ Main Menu/ Home
Set the "Columns" to 1 in the parameters and Save.
