what i'm really after is some analysis from users based on operating system/browser
if you can check please just go to the home page and click on a any news item. let both pages fully load and then report any issues back, with your operating system and browser ...
help greatly appreciated ..

Operating System: Windows XP
Browser: IE6
The main pages loads fine in 10sec (from poor connection)
News opens in a few seconds
I selected a News item and got the infamous IE operation aborted error - James Spencer / Developer & Support / Hull, UK

- initial page takes about 2 secs, subsequent pages and even homepage takes about half a sec for me.

5mb connection
Windows XP (still)
FF, IE7
FF took
-5.9secs to load from the UK on main page
-2 secs for sub pages
IE7
- Main page took 7 secs
- Sub pages took 2 secs - James Spencer / Developer & Support / Hull, UK
