Heard the new system rewards sites with original content. Good and bad I guess since I have both kinds of sites.
This makes me curious though. Let's say, 10 sites have the same data - how does google tell which one is the original? - MMOFPS games: www.massivefps.com | Extension Templates: www.extensiontemplates.com

Google changes their algorithm all the time, almost daily in fact. They are constantly trying to battle the "SEO Experts" and cheats.
Best to stick to the standards for SEO stuff, as a hack that might work now, might really hurt you later.

- I would presume they would take the OLDEST site as the original. Anyone know anything different?

I guess that would make sense. My concern is that I have a site that has both original content and duplicate content. Some of my pages are the "OLDEST" and some of them are not, whereas the site I receive duplicate content has some pages that have original content, and duplicate content as well. Who';s to say Google indexes a site that is higher ranking than another - but the older site has the newer content, but since Google indexed the "popular" site first it all of a sudden becomes the oldest thus lowering the value of the original site.
