    • Hey, got a quick security question.
I got main site in "root/public html" folder. Meaning all of joomla folders are there.
When I create a subdomain in my hosting account for second joomla site I can't create a folder "root/site2" and direct subdomain there, I have to create a folder "root/public html/site2"
Is it ok for securiy purposes?

P.S. my main domain is automatically directed to "root/public html", I can't direct it to "root/public html/site1" and make 2 domains have completely separe root folders.
      P.P.S. I'm on innohosting.com

    • Hi there,

That is the normal method of creating a sub-domain. The directory will have its own htaccess and will be just as safe as your main site.

      Hope this helps 8)

    • Thanks, but isnt google gonna cache mysite.com/site 2 as a page from this site? Making 2 copies?

Will putting restriction in robots.txt fix it?

Either put restrictions in robots.txt or in .htaccess - both will work.
