- In the latest Gantry templates, you can add the code in the Template Manager.

- I don't understand!
  Withing the Gantry template what do you add? The Web Property ID?
  If so, why do you need a plugin? Is the Gantry function inadequate?

- Yes within Gantry Templates all you need to do is add the web property ID.
  
  The plug ins were referred to as the templates the other posters use are not Gantry based.

- If we use the Google Analytics feature of a Gantry template, should we NOT use the Google Analytics features of any other components installed on that site? I want to avoid running the analytics script multiple times and collecteding erroneous data.
  
  Specifically I have the following:
  Gantry based RT template with Google Analytics code setup.
  sh404sef component (has a place for GA ID # to be setup)
  redSHOP component (has a place for GA ID # to be setup)
  
  So…should I use the Google ID in ONLY one place, or should I place it in all places that accept it?

- Choose one, there is no advantage of setting up multiple components to collect the same data, and as you mentioned, may cause erroneous results.

  Thanks for the reply. Do you know if there is any advantage to choosing any one component over the other when it comes to GA tracking? Or does it simply not matter, just choose one, and then it will collect all the data for the entire site?

- Just choose one, they all perform the same function, the ability to enter the code without having to manually edit any files.
