    • SOLVED - What is the best solution to stop getting the weird spam email on a registration form? Is there a free option that is easy and works? It seems like either Joomla or the template would already include a fix for this?

    • Check the JED for CAPTCHA integration with the registration form if you are using the core registration form, or with the developer of your 3rd party component if you are using one.

    • I downloaded that captcha from Joomlaxi, but when I tried to upload it to the site it gave me this:
Error* JFolder::create: Could not create directory

Seems like I've had this problem with a site before, but I can't remember the solution.

    • sounds like a permissions error. Go to tools > system info > directory permissions

      is everything writable?

    • OK, It was under help on this one. Everything was writable except for the temp, log, and images-banners directories. By the way, this is the latest version of 1.5

    • Hmmmm, OK, I looked at the folders with FileZilla and they are all set to 755, but those still say unwriteable?

    • I did see that there were a couple of files there that were from a forum I uploaded and later deleted. I deleted them, but still no joy.
