Hi!
I'm building a new site (using J1.5) for a client and need some advice regarding what components to use. It's actually nothing fancy so I won't need to write any custom components from scratch.
What I need:
1. A simple recipe directory
2. Newspaper directory where logged in users can download the newspaper (PDF). The client should easily be able to upload new PDF files when a new newspaper has been created.
3. Some static pages with info
4. Blogging/News updates
5. Forum (Will use Ninjaboard)
6. Everything should be searchable
(Template will be based on Gantry FW)
I have been fiddling around with K2 for a while setting everything up but it just won't work any good. I just installed ZOO to test it out and it seems pretty nice. Only thing is that the App Bundle costs €99...
On the other hand, as I'm writing this post I realize maybe I should just use the standard Joomla Articles for most of the above.
Maybe I'm doing this overly complicated? What do you think?
Anyways, I need something to handle the PDF's. What would you recommend here?
